FACE UNDERWATER

The bravery to put your face into the water is the first big step to becoming a great swimmer!

GET OUT INDEPENDENTLY

Jumps at the end of class aren't just for fun—we're practicing climbing out of the water so you know what to do if you fall in!

FRONT/BACK FLOAT

To float is understand and use the water—instead of fighting it. Floating is the foundation for swimming, and on your back you can breathe, or call for help!

SWIM 5FT.

Tell your friends, "I can swim!" Kids past this milestone can choose to remain horizontal on the water, and propel themselves with kicks—a triumph of both mind and body!

ROLLOVER BREATH

Rolling over to your back to breathe is a crucial life-saving skill that opens up the world of swimming longer times and distances!

SWIM 25FT. W/ROLLOVER

Maintain (or regain) forward momentum when rolling over to breathe. This efficient swimming technique enables young children to swim great distances without needing great strength.

SIDE BREATH

A proper side breath is deceptively difficult. A long process of developing control of breath & body leads up to achieving this milestone.

\

SWIM 60FT. W/SIDE BREATH

Swim Freestyle and Backstroke with proper form and you're ready for the Advanced class. Children who achieve this minimize their risk of drowning and begin to step into the world of swimming for recreation and sport!

SWIM 200FT.

Your chart is complete, but th Swim Journey continues! Whether it's to competition, exercise, or fun vacations, we're delighted to have helped you build swimming skills for a lifetime in the water.
