Ms. Julia hails from the country of Guatemala and has lived in Mequon pretty much her whole life. She has always been homeschooled and loves the freedom it gives her to pursue her other interests. Julia started swim lessons at the Mequon Pool at age 5, and has been swimming competitively since the age of 6. She is certified in Lifeguarding, CPR, AED, and First Aid. She really enjoys teaching children to swim and would like her students to develop a love for the water and be totally comfortable in it. She is so happy when her students accomplish their goals. Besides swimming club, Julia runs Cross Country and Track on her high school team and sings in the church choir. She loves baking and playing the piano. Her academic passion is foreign languages, which she hopes to pursue in college.
