April 13, 2017. Hello Splash Swimmers, Families & Friends! Very exciting news that Kimberly Metz, owner of Splash, is attending the NDPA 2017 Educational Conference this week in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The NDPA (National Drowning Prevention Alliance) conference’s theme this year is based around “the next generation of water safety.” Sponsors include Families United to Prevent Drowning, D & D Technologies, Cvent, Safer3 Water Safety Foundation (name change recently to “Stop Drowning Now”) & IPPSA – Independent Pool & Spa Safety Association. This conference covers all areas of water safety and drowning prevention – including “research, technology, lessons/programming, outreach, policy, code, legislation, international relations & networking.” Kimberly attends this event every year she can. She brings back the cutting edge education & research to implement at Splash! Swim + Wellness for our swim students. Here are some of her photos of the event.
